New favorite word: penultimate
Guess who's going to try and sneak it into her next critique....
"The penultimate ubiquity of your piece really speaks to me..."
No one needs to know that it doesn't make sense.

Hiya Nick, long time no see.
Love the write-up, and since I'm a product design student, the whole categorization in the first part is so spot-on, that it's almost scary.
Also, love what youve done to the blog, types look mighty impressive, apart from the body text, which needs a huge effort to read it out. Might be the browser, but thats another topic on it's own.

Keep up the good work, and hopefully talk to you soon. Hop by autemo every once in a while and leave a comment... Feels lonely without the old PSU folk, I only spit sarcasm at the dimwits there these days..

That's pretty rich coming from someone too cowardly to provide their own name.

To address the first point, I don't really care because I can't influence anyone else's behaviour, dress or attitude. I can, however, point out how ridiculous it is.

To address your second point, I am in the design stream of the school. The ones who look at a teacup as engineering and not sculpture.

You spend enough time to think about this subject, you "analyze" it, write about it and share your opinions on it. Yet, you don't "give a damn about [it]"? What is that? Some cop-out trying to prove that somehow you're better then the hordes of bloggers who hate Hipsters? Or the hundreds of redditors who spew bile over the very mention of this counterculture? I'm sorry but I'm not buying it.

I would venture to guess that the only reason you are writing this is to prove to yourself that you are not a part of this subculture — that there is no way you could be a Hipster. But c'mon... You go to art school and you complain about Hipsters? Isn't that what Hipsters do?

Isn't It Ironic?
